Incurables Checklist

The Incurables Program was originally taught by Dr. John Christopher. It is designed to cleanse the body and assist the healing response. The key to healing is to work on cleansing and building all the systems of the body. This checklist offers you many things you can do. We have added to Dr. Christopher’s original concept to be more inclusive.  Even if you are not ill, consider adding some of these to your life.  We’ve divided these under Body, and  Mind & Spirit.  We believe that body, mind and spirit are so connected and interrelated that you cannot effect one without influencing the other.  Healing is a spiritual adventure.  Be open to all possible therapies or tasks, particularly those which will stretch and heal your spirit.  View these lists as posibilities on your road to health.  Incorporate those that “speak to you”.

What to do for your BODY

  • Fresh Fruit or Vegetable Juice = 1 gallon per day. Use carrot juice as a base for vegetable juices.  Set a goal to buy a juicer and use it daily. Juice to both cleanse and nourish your body.
  • Water, drink at least 8 cups of filtered water daily or more if it is hot or with physical active.
  • Try a RAW foods diet- emphasize organic fruits and vegetables.  If you are seriously ill consume only fresh carrot juice. Eight to sixteen ounces every waking hours (about a gallon of fresh carrot juice daily).    Once you are off the juices you can go to a diet of fruits, vegetables, raw nuts and seeds, and soaked and sprouted beans and grains.  Find organic produce grown locally.   No cooked foods (breads, baked potatoes, tofu, etc.) Avoid soy (except soy sauce and miso).
  • Eat only grass-fed red meat, organic eggs, raw milk. Eat fermented foods such as sauerkraut, yogurt and kefir). Look into and study Nourishing Traditional Diets (Weston A. Price Foundation.  www.westonaprice.org)

  • Cayenne pepper - 1 teaspoon 3x/day or use capsules - work up to this dosage
  • Garlic - 8 to 10 cloves per day if really ill, 2 to 3 cloves (not bulbs) per day maintenance

What to do for your MIND & SPIRIT

  • Meditate or sit and be still every day 5 to 45 minutes daily begin with breath observation meditation.  Set aside time to reflect on what is important.
  • Read uplifting books.  Focus of the positive and beautiful in life.
  • Go to bed by 9 p.m. when you can.  If you are tired during the day, rest more.  Rest allows the body to give its full attention and energy to healing and rebuilding tissues.
  • List your most deeply felt priorities and goals.  Does the way you spend your time match this list?
  • Keep a log of your spending.  Find ways to reduce financial stress.
  • Restrict TV viewing and internet use to those shows/sites you value.
  • Turn off your cell phone, pager and fax at the end of the workday.
  • Develop relationships by allowing yourself time for conversation, letter-writing and shared activities.
  • Analyze your schedule to see where it might be simplified.
  • Give away or sell possessions you haven’t used for six months.  Get rid of 1/3 of your possessions.
  • Allow your children only one extracurricular activity at a time.
  • Pray 2 to 3 times daily.  Be thankful and bless people.
  • Think uplifting positive thoughts. Live in harmony.  Be a peacemaker.  Stand up for the one not present, listen for the one not there to hear, see for the one without sight, and give praise and credit to others whenever you are able.
  • Help others.  Don’t be consumed with your own problems.  Live a life of blessing and serving others.
  • Discover your mission and purpose in life.  Look to your illness/injury as a spiritual awakening.  Learn from your condition.  Become a student of your healing.  This is an opportunity for introspection and self-discovery.  Live your life as the spiritual adventure that it is.
  • Read and ponder the inspired texts or scriptures from your religion daily. Study, grasp and practice the principles in these writings.
  • Focus on Healing your life, not just your body.
  • Forgive and let go of past hurts, traumas, betrayals, etc.  You can not heal if you do not release fear, anger, hate, guilt, etc.  Hanging on to negative feelings will canker your soul.   Repent (change your heart) and Forgive (release and let go of negative emotions).
  • Above all, follow the inner voice of your spirit.  It will guide, direct and teach you what you need to do.  The road to health (spiritual and physical) is not intended to be easy.  Our lives are a spiritual journey designed to help us discover who we really are with the help of our challenges.
